SOUND:
If you are recording audio you need to consider sound first of all before anything else.
1. How are you recording sound?- Is it internal or external?
2.  If external connect the microphone to channel 2 on the camera
3. Next check audio levels using headphones to make sure the sound is okay
4. if the sound is distorted or not sounding right, change the recording level
5. Listen for any unwanted audio such as background noises or an electric hum

WHITE BALANCE:

After the sound check is all complete you need to check for white balance. As not all rooms and locations will have the same lighting.
1. Place a pure white sheet of paper in front of the camera
2. Zoom in fully to the white sheet of paper until it takes up the frame
3. Then press the AWB button on the front of the camera, the screen will go black momentarily but will return with the right colour balance
4. THIS WILL HAVE TO BE DONE EVERY TIME THE LIGHT CHANGES

EXPOSURE:
Next check for the exposure- how bright or dark the shot is
1. Use Zebra lines to identify over exposed areas
2. adjust the IRIS until you have a well exposed image
WHEN SHOOTING OUTDOORS-USE ND FILTERS TO BRING DOWN THE LIGHT IF NEEDS BE

FOCUS:
Next focus the camera to make sure the image that you want is sharp and focus of your shot
1. Zoom into the subject, and spin the focus wheel until they are crisp and sharp
2. Focus is based on distance from the lens if the camera or subject moves the focus will change

FRAMING:
1. follow the basic Video Aesthetics to compose the shot
2. Use the appropiate camera angle and field of view (CU,MS,WS) for each shot
